Garitano: ‘It is necessary to value positively the point’

Gaizka Garitano has talked in the press room of the Son Moix stadium just minutes after the exciting final with which has concluded the match between the RCD Mallorca and Athletic Club. The red-and-white mister has valued a meeting that has been unleashed in the final minutes: ‘In the end the two teams have lost the midfield and the game has been out of control. Anyone could have scored in the last quarter of an hour. It was a crazy ending. We both wanted to win and there were chances, goalposts, penalties… It was very important that our two defensive midfielders were yellow carded‘.

Garitano has emphasised the spirit of his team, which has been able to overcome the superiority of the rival in some moments of the second half: ‘We have to value positively the point achieved because it has taken a lot of effort. There have been phases for the two teams, but there has been a time that we have suffered and although we do not usually receive many occasions, they have had two or three clear. We have known how to suffer in that quarter of an hour of the second half in which they have been better and we have been able to turn it around in those last ten minutes in which we have been able to win‘.
