Larra: “We´ll follow our approach”

After the open door training at Lezama, four days before the match against Deportivo Alavés, Gaizka Larrazabal revealed positive feelings during his press conference. Athletic´s player has recognized that the next rival “does not take as many risks with the ball” as Barcelona or Real Sociedad do, previous rivals of this League in San Mamés, but he is determined to keep using the same approach used from the very beginning of the competition : “We will follow the same strategy used, with the same intensity and same flow throughout the match so we wear down the rival. And when it’s time to suffer, because there are always bad times, we will stay together, and, again, with all the supporters we have, the rival will end up suffering. We are going to follow our approach and we are going to play as well as we know. I am fully confident; we can repeat what we did against Barça and against Real Sociedad”.

On a personal level, Larra, whose debut was in Getafe, has been ambitious regarding his role within the team and pointed out: “The two matches in San Mamés have been a warm up, I´m looking forward to playing at home. I know it will come eventually. The coach said on different occasions that he considers me a different player within the team, explosive and powerful, and that´s why I think I can contribute a lot. I can’t see the limits, I can’t settle. I know that we are many players and all very versatile, but my idea is to fight for the starting eleven and seek the maximum number of minutes to play”.
