The two professional female teams of Athletic Club’s played a friendly game in Lezama, before a weekend off , at the top two national categories.
The ladies teams of Athletic Club of Primera Iberdrola and Reto Norte Iberdrola met this morning at the field 2, in Lezama. Both teams will have a weekend off to rest before going back to the tournament. The squad led by Ángel Villacampa won 3-1 against its subsidiary. However, Iraia Iturregi’s players have shown a great attitude and made it clear that the women’s youth academy is taking steps forward. Azkona, Unzué and Marta scored for Athletic A and Urru scored for B.
The first team hopes to recover troops for the clash against Real Sociedad that will be held next Sunday, October 13 at the Reale Arena (16.00 hours). The subsidiary team wants to get rid of the first defeat suffered in Lleida and will also play on Sunday 13 at 11.00 in Lezama, this time against Racing Santander.
