Yeray: “We still have the same aspiration”

Yeray Álvarez has appeared in the Lezama’s press room after the first of the two training sessions of Athletic Club on Tuesday. In a week in which there is not league competition, but with friendly matches against Barakaldo and Alavés on Thursday, the defender has analysed the team’s latest results: “They have been two hard defeats, difficult to assume, but we must be positive and start thinking about the match against Valladolid to continue fighting for the top positions. We still have the same aspiration as when we beat Barça. Our aim is to enter in European positions. We know it is difficult because this league is too complicated, but im very but I am pretty sure we are going to fight to the end.”

About his personal situation -he has only not been regular starter in single league match-, the defender of Athletic Club has analyzed his outstanding performance: “I do not know if it is my best season or not because we have only play eight matches. But it is true that we are conceding very few goals, we are doing very few times and I am getting along very well with both Iñigo and Unai. But that is not just a centrals theme, it goes from the striker to the goalkeeper and it is everyone’s job.”
