“We need to keep being recognisable”

“We need to keep being recognisable”

Ángel Villacampa points out the “identity” shown by Athletic in the derby as a way to follow the trend tomorrow against Betis (Lezama,11am), after two consecutive wins.

Only 24 hours before the match against Real Betis Ladies (Lezama, 11.00 am, free entry) of the 6th day of Primera Iberdrola, Ángel Villacampa has appeared in the pressroom of Lezama. The manager showed his satisfaction with the victory last Saturday in the derby at the Reale Arena, after several negative results: “We have to give continuity to the derby and the intensity with which we face it. It was the match in which we got closest to the identity we’re looking for. If the team is this recognizable, it will be much harder to beat us. Victory was important to believe in what we’re doing, but it’s true that we haven’t done anything yet and we have to keep growing.”

For tomorrow’s match, Villacampa, has confirmed the leaves of Erika, Lucia, Yulema and Ainhoa Alvarez, so that the call for 18 players will be the same list that he presented for last game. He has analyzed Betis as follows: “Surely it is the most difficult clash we have faced, above the derby. It’s a team that plays with three halves and two strikers and all of them have a lot of mobility, so we will try to block them and take advantage of the spaces they can leave between the lines.”

CALL:  Ainhoa Tirapu, Andrea Sierra, Ainhoa Moraza, Garazi Murua, Damaris Egurrola, Nekane Díez, María Díaz, Jone Ibáñez, Eunate Arraiza, Maite Oroz, Marta Unzué, Marta Perea, Leia Zarate, Vanesa Gimbert, Andrea de la Nava, Ane Azkona, Oihane Valdezate and Amaiur Sarriegi.
