Youth teams’ results

Athletic Club earned a worthy draw at Estadio de la Cerámica against Villarreal CF and Athletic Club Women could not add any points on their trip to Tenerife in the Primera Iberdorla. Apart from the results of our two first teams, here are all the results of the rest of the weekend fixtures.

Bilbao Athletic won with ease at Lezama once more, settling alone at the top of the Second Division Group II table. They beat UD Logroñés 3-1 with goals from Ewan Urain, Morcillo and Sancet.CD Basconia, on the other hand, could not pick up any points against Sestao River Club, losing 2-3 at Artundaga, despite the goals scored by the brothers Naveira, Xabi y Unai on the 12th matchday in the Third Division Group IV.

Juniors A suffered a 2-3 home loss against CD Numancia; the goals from Esteban and Iñigo López were not enough to avoid their second league defeat in the División de Honor. Juniors B succeeded to win 0-1 in their match with CD Vasconia in Donostia on the 9th matchday in the Liga Nacional, thanks to Koldo Ferrer’s only goal.

Cadets A thrashed CD Olarizo 4-0, maintaining their lead at the top of the Liga Vasca table with full points; Ibon Sánchez, Txaber, Bittor and Lander were the goalscorers. Cadets B also came out 2-0 winners against Club Portugalete, with a brace from Aimar Bikandi, on the 5th matchday in the División de Honor.

Thanks to Oguiza’s goal, Athletic Club Women B drew one-one at Ibaia against Deportivo Alavés on the 8th matchday in the Reto Iberdrola Norte.Women C won 3-1 against Peña Athletic Santurtzi CF, with goals from Mara, Naia San Emeterio and Noa. Lastly, Athletic Club Ladies Cadetsplayed two league matches, getting six points in one go, defeating Bilbao Artizarrak 0-5 and AD Berriotxoa 11-0.
