Jon Guruzeta and Alejandro Ibarrondo awarded as the most outstanding players of last season at Honor Division.
Athletic Juvenil Fan Club, the oldest one in the Basque Country, awarded yesterday the Basconia players Jon Guruzeta and Alejandro Ibarrondo as the most outstanding ones at last season’s Division of Honor. The first one, brother of Gorka, the player of the first team, received La Furia (Rage) award. The second player, flank, received an award for his Regularidad (Consistency). Athletic Club president, Aitor Elizegi, showed up with many representatives from the entity and took part in the tribute, organized by the Fan Club and led by Joseba Núñez, who is assisting Imanol de la Sota and acting as the second manager of Honor of Division.
It is an award given since the season 1975/76 and received by different players such as Santi Urkiaga, Iñigo Liceranzu, Josu Urrutia, Patxi Ferreira, Genar Andrinua, Andoni Aiarza, Julen Guerrero, Markel Susaeta, Iñaki Williams, Beñat or Unai Nuñez. Guruzeta e Ibarrondo will follow Oihan Sancet and Unai Vencedor, awarded last year.
