“Keeping this good run would mean a step forward.”

Gaizka Garitano has confidence in keeping up with the good results achieved in the last two matches.

Athletic Club manager, Gaizka Garitano, faced the press today in the morning, before the match against Levante, 13th day at LaLiga, to be played tomorrow in San Mamés.

The zurigorri coach has highlighted the importance of keeping up with the positive results achieved in the last few days against Espanyol and Villareal: “We wish to perform a good match and get points so we can be ranked up in the scoreboard”. In addition, he acknowledged “when there is a break it is always convenient to win. I do not think too much about a break about keeping with the good run”.

As for the rival, Levante UD, he pointed out their good times and their potential for the offense, “They scored three goals in ten minutes to FC Barcelona. They have quality, they are fast and they have good strikers and that should keep us vigilant. We will try to hurt them as in the last match at home, because they will create risky occasions”.

On the other hand, Garitano shared a critical view about Athletic playing its 5th consecutive day on a Sunday at 14:00. “It can disrupt the team, but for me it’s about the people. It is the worst time for the supporters. It goes against my supporters ́interest and Athletic ́s ones, and that hurts us. Playing five consecutive plays at that time does not make any sense”.
