Athletic Club moves towards sustainable mobility
The agreement between BMW- Lurauto, including offers for the members, will let all its non sporting employees use 100% electric cars.
Loyal to our values that makes Athletic Club unique since122 years ago, the Club has reached a new agreement so as to use electric cars for its non sporting staff and make its mobility more sustainable.
The agreement with BMW – Lurauto will let the Club make use of 100% electric cars (including two vans), marked in Basque and Spanish in order to show the value of the agreement. The new BMW official dealer for Bizkaia support Athletic ́s values as well. The agreement will also mean better and remarkable discounts for the members of the Club.
Athletic Club employees will use these cars for their journeys between Lezama, San Mames and Ibaigane and for the rest of their daily tasks, when due to the distance, public transport is not the solution. The fleet of cars will be shared amongst the employees since one of the aims and efforts of the Club is to reduce the number of vehicles and improve sustainable mobility.
The Managing Director of Lurauto, Luis Miguel García and Aitor Elizegi, Athletic Club President attended the signing of the above mentioned deal.
