Management and global entertainment at Letras y Fútbol

Ferrán Soriano has closed the 10th edition of the festival with the collaboration of Lu Martin, in a conversation where football has been analyzed from an entrepreneurial perspective

The title of the book written by Ferrán Soriano, “The Ball Doesn’t Go In By Chance”, has been the main point of the debate with which Letras y Fútbol has come to a close. The title is not an ordinary one, it reflects the point of view from which football has been analyzed today, “the vision of football as seen from an office.”

The relationship between football and entertainment, together with the concepts of tribe and identity, as well as of those of industry and business, were the four main elements that made up the vision shared by Ferrán Soriano in his talk at La Catedral. A viewpoint that has stressed the value of management in order to obtain results.

The general director of City Football Group, the holding company created around Manchester City, also referred to Athletic Club as “Asterix and Obelix’s village”, highlighting a single management model where “identity is more important than the business.”
