Córdoba: “We only think about winning against Granada”

Iñigo Córdoba has appeared in front of the media after the training session of Athletic Club in Lezama. The red-and-white striker did not want to set any future goals for the team despite the good results of recent weeks and the good qualifying situation (5th place in LaLiga): “It is clear that the team is competing well, but we are focused on Granada and we want to continue going match by match. It is going well for us and things that are going well do not have to be changed. We will see later what we are competing for. The team is very strong, and I think we are doing a great job, but we cannot look at the streak of results because an excess of confidence would only harm us.”

Even recognising the great start of Granada CF, next Sunday’s rival in San Mamés (2.00 pm), Córdoba has preferred to focus on Athletic’s performance at home in his analysis of the match: “Granada is a newly promoted, but has started the season very well and has beaten Barça or tied Atlético. They play very well, and we know it will be a very difficult opponent, but we have to follow in our footsteps. At home we are being a very compact team and if we do a good job, we will get the victory.”
