Adherence to the Basque Social Pact on Migration

Juan Carlos Ercoreca and Jon Vázquez Eguskiza, president and general director of the Athletic Club Foundation, in representation of Athletic Club, have joined the parliamentary delegation who have presented the Basque Social Pact on Migration in the Lehendakaritza headquarters in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The main entities and institutions in the country have adhered to this pact, whose ethical objective is to contribute to the reinforcement of the humanitarian response to the needs of migrants.

This Social Pact establishes pluralism, solidarity and the need of immigration as the guiding principles to give an answer to migrants’ working and demographic conditions. The defense of coexistence, Human Rights, unity, education, local context, equality, and languages are the priorities endorsed, which Athletic Club assumes as their own to the best of their capabilities and competence.
