Our youth academy starred the long weekend with most football

Check out the results obtained by the teams that make up Athletic Club’s youth academy over the past three holiday periods

In addition to the away commitments of our first two teams that ended with a minimal defeat in LaLiga Santander and a meritorious draw in the Primera Iberdrola, our youth academy has experienced an intense weekend.

Bilbao Athletic was unable to recover from the SD Leioa’s early goal at Sarriena’s facilities and accumulated their third consecutive day without winning in Group II of the Second Division B (1-0). Meanwhile, Group IV of the Third Division had a weekend of rest, so the CD Basconia did not compete.

Juniors A won in Lizasoain to CD Pamplona by 0-2 thanks to the goals of Velez in the first half and Mikel Lopez during the second. Thus, Junior A continues at the top of the classification of the Division of Honor. Juniors B, for his part, now leads the National League on his own after defeating Real Sociedad 2-0 in Lezama and beating them by three points; Koldo Ferrer and Luis Bilbao were the scorers.

Cadets A took advantage of the break in the Basque League to play the tournament ‘Torneo La Ribera’ and ended fifth. On the other hand, Cadets B was the category that closed the weekend on Sunday afternoon and won by 3-5 in Retuerto, with two goals from Aingeru Olabarrieta and Aimar Vicandi, and one from Asier Hierro.

Regarding the Athletic Club Women youth categories, this weekend they had again a full of victories. The B won in Mareo against Real Sporting by 0-3 and continues in the first place of the Reto Iberdrola Norte, thanks to two goals from Amaiur Sarriegi and one from Paula Arana. The teams C and Cadets also won against SD Indautxu and CD Ugao, respectively.
