Review the unbeatable results obtained by the teams of our youth academy during this past weekend
Apart from the draw achieved in the match of LaLiga Santander at the Santiago Bernabéu by the team directed by Gaizka Garitano, and the reliable victory of Athletic Club ladies’ team in Huelva on the last matchday of the year in the Primera Iberdrola, there was a full of victories for the rest of our youth categories.
After a month without scoring three points, Bilbao Athletic finally ended the bad streak and obtained a very talented victory at the Reale Arena against Real Sociedad B by a 2-0 win thanks to Morcillo’s goal in the first half and Guruzeta’s in the second. This result means that the team coached by Joseba Etxeberria will be celebrating Christmas in promotion play-off positions in Group II of the Second Division B. CD Basconia, in an incredible dynamic, accumulates six days without losing in the Group IV of the Third Division after beating CD Ariznabarra in Artunduaga by 2-0 thanks to goals from Diarra and Guruzeta after the rest.
Both Juniors A and Juniors B managed to keep their league lead after a 5-0 win over UD Mutilvera (two goals by Mikel López, and one each from Serrano, Uriarte and Mendibe) and a 3-0 win at Deusto (goals by Varela, Duñabeitia and Ferrer), respectively.
In the Cadets category, our A and B teams won away: 1-3 in Zubieta against Real Sociedad in the Basque League and 0-2 in Maiona against Santutxu FC B in the Honour Division.
The Athletic Club ladies’ team subsidiary rested due to the break in the Reto Iberdrola Norte. Our C team won away against Erandioko Betiko Neskak FKE B by 0-9, while Athletic Club Women Cadets beat Pauldarrak FKT 4-0.
