First team players on loan

A summary of the situation of the four first-team male players that are currently on loan: Hodei Olega, Peru Nolaskoain, Andoni López and Iñigo Vicente

2019 is coming to an end and we take the opportunity to have a look at the trajectory of the four first-team players in the Athletic Club men’s squad that are currently on loan:

Hodei Oleaga (UD Melilla)

Starter and Melilla’s goalkeeper since his arrival at Second Division B Group I, now part of the squad that managed to play the promotional LaLiga Smart Bank playoffs last season. Despite not being very lucky with the results, Oleaga is getting plenty of playing time and has kept a clean sheet on six occasions.

Peru Nolaskoain (RC Deportivo)

RC Deportivo are not going through their best spell, as they are sitting at the bottom of the LaLiga Smart Bank standings. However, Nolaskoain has earned his position in the midfield, (usually) helping Alex Bergantiños and Vicente Gómez in the creation of plays. Besides, he has managed to score, netting the winning goal in injury time in the match played between A Coruña and CD Tenerife.

Andoni López (Elche CF)

Under Pacheta’s management, the left back is taking advantage of the opportunities given to him by the club from Elche whenever he is needed. Having more and more weigh on the left flank (position he shares with Juan Cruz), López has played 9 fixtures this season, as well as the whole 90 minutes in Elche’s debut in the Copa del Rey.

Iñigo Vicente (Mirandés)

The footballer from Derio is occupying an important role in the side managed by Andoni Iraola. With the passing of the games, the winger has become a significant player within the rotation of the attacking players in the team from Anduva. In the 16 fixtures he has played so far, he has recorded 4 goals and 3 assists.
