Levante and Valencia will visit Lezama in January while February will bring the kick-off for Copa de la Reina and a derby against Real Sociedad

Primera Iberdrola has completed its first round with Athletic Club ranked fifth in the scoreboard, just one point below Deportivo Abanca. The red-and-white team is facing the half of the championship with enthusiasm and inspiration so as to try and reach the top of the classification. In addition, next February Copa de la Reina will began which makes the calendar for the next two months quite eventful and demanding.

The first match of the second round will bring to Lezama a high-flying rival. This is the UD Levante, ranked third and closely chasing Atletico de Madrid as well as their place in the Women’s Champions League. The team of Maria Pry team managed to beat the lions 2-0 in the first round of the league and they are 6 points ahead of the red-and-white players.

The first clash of the second year will be against Madrid CFF, and then Valencia will arrive in Lezama before travelling to A Coruña and face Deportivo, who are currently only one point above the lionesses.

After the third machtday of the second round, the Copa de la Reina 2020 will start. It will be a single match. The first qualifying will be the round of sixteen, which will be played on February 11 or 12.

During the same week, Athletic Club will receive Real Sociedad. After the domestic derby, we will travel afterwards to Seville to play against Real Betis. If the red-and-white team goes through the first Copera qualifying round, they will play the quarter-final on February 25-26. They will be two months to not lose the pulse of the league and try to qualify for the semi-finals of the K.O. tournament.
