Madrid CFF, a team in need

The team from Madrid has not won a League match since September and it has hired international players during the winter season

On Sunday from 12:00, Athletic Club will visit the facilities of Matapiñonera and face Madrid CFF in the 17th round of Primera Iberdrola. The red-and-white team has three players in leave: Marta Unzué  and Jone Ibáñez are injured and Damaris, got a fine during a match. In addition, this week Ángel Villacampa is suffering from a flu and for the first time, the call will be announced by the midfielder of the subsidiary team, Irene Oguiza. It is the first match away since the beginning of the new year and the red-and-white players will face a team that has not won a single match since September (Primera Iberdrola, Round 4, CD Tacón 1- 2 Madrid CFF).

The team from Madrid is one point away from the relegation and has suffered some long-term leaves at the beginning of the season. Therefore, Madrid CFF needed to look for new player during the winter season so as to change the current dynamics. This week they have concluded an agreement with the Brazilian player Valeria awarded as the best striker of Brazil in 2019 in the Paulista championship- and Antónia Silva also joined the team. Besides, the Korean player Jang Sel-G, the US Amanda Frisbie, the Norgeiwan Ingrid Moe and the Nigerian Rita Chikwelu are also wearing the white t-shirt.

In the first round played in Lezama, the lions won by 3 goals thanks to the doublet of Erika Vázquez and the goal by Marta Perea. The red-and-white players will play after achieving a draw in Lezama against Levante UD, ranked third in the scoreboard. Conversely, the team led by Oscar Fernández, was defeated in Seville by 2 goals against Real Betis.
