The midfielder from Durango, Industrial Organization Engineer at the University of the Basque Country, made her debut in the first team last weekend in Madrid
Irene Oguiza played her first minutes within the first women team last Sunday. The player from Durango, entered the field right after the break in order to replace Andrea Sierra. She is now the 95th player debuting in Athletic Club. Several leaves in the team headed by Ángel Villacampa made him asked for help to the subsidiary team of Iraia Iturregi. He not only called Oguiza, Amaiur Sarriegi was also called. Both of them played, and won 0-4, in Matapiñonera with team B one week before.
The red-and-white player is key in the team of Iturregi, becoming the captain in round 15th and 16th of Reto Iberdrola. In addition to De la Nava and Sarriegi (that also played against Madrid CFF), Ogueiza has become the third player debuting in the elite this season.
She is a 20 year old player, currently studying Industrial Organization Engineering at the University of the Basque Country. A complex degree she is combining with her career as a football player, as Andere Legueine, the goalkeeper did previously.
