Nekane Diez, another dropout

The striker injured again her femoral and is also suffering from a collateral ligament sprain in her left knee

Nekane Díez, injured in the last match against Madrid CFF, become the last member of the team to get the leave. Athletic women’s first team player has suffered a myofascial tear of biceps femoral and a sprain of collateral ligament in her left knee. Her condition will depend on the evolution.

The red-and-white striker is not being very lucky this year regarding injuries. In the first League match in Buñol she had to be replaced a few minutes after the start of the match because of a prick in her femoris and she relapsed on the sixth day of Primera Iberdrola. This season she has only been able to play 381 minutes on the pitch in 9 matches.

Nekane joins a list of leaves that prevents Angel Villacampa from enjoying the full potential of his team.

Update on the physical condition of:

  • Marta Unzué: collateral ligament sprain of her left knee.
  • Yulema Corres: small damage in the soleus of her right leg.
  • Leia Zarate: suffers from the flu preventing her from training with the group since last Thursday.
  • Marta Perea: reported a relapse of her bilateral right ankle sprain.
  • Jone Ibáñez: continues gaining strength after her knee surgery last November.
