Gaizka Garitano gives his view on tomorrow’s “vital” match against Osasuna: “We need to catch our breath and put an end to our winless run”
Athletic Club’s manager Gaizka Garitano has talked to the media in the facilities at Lezama, nearly 24 hours prior to the clash against CA Osasuna that will be held at San Mamés (6.30 p.m.) in the 24th round of LaLiga Santander season.
“We’re convinced it’s a vital match for us. We must forget about the Copa for a few weeks and focus our attention on LaLiga. We need to move up the table, to win again and catch our breath. The feelings are good, but we can’t live on feelings,” said the red-and-white coach.
As for tomorrow’s opponents CA Osasuna Garitano have pointed out the union of the team:“They’re a team in every sense of the word and they gain advantage from it. Their ideas are clear, they push up forward and play with a lot of intensity. We have plenty of things in common, both of us prefer playing on our opponent’s half of the pitch and we like making crosses. Let’s see who prevails.”
Regarding the red-and-white injured players, the boss stated: “We’re missing key players, but that’s something usual at this point of the season. I trust all our other players and we’ll form a competitive side to get the three points tomorrow at San Mamés”.
