Ainhoa Moraza and Lucia Garcia, the two Athletic Club players, played an important role in the victory last night of the Spanish team against England (0-1) in the last match of the She Believes Cup which is one of the most important friendly tournament within women’s football. The match was played at the Toyota Stadium in Texas with an important role of the two zurigorris players.

Moraza, who was playing for the first time with the Spanish national team, was in the starting line-up for the first time and performed well. The red-and-white player was even close to scoring a goal in a great move she explains in the following video. The wing had already made her debut as a senior international in the first match of the tournament against Japan.

For her part, Lucia Garcia took part again in the starting line-up, as she did in the second match of the competition against the United States, and was once again very active in the front line of the team led by Jorge Vilda. The player from Barakaldo has been present in all three matches of the She Believes Cup, scoring two goals against Japan in the first match of the tournament. Both players have contributed to the fact that the Spanish team has finished the tournament in second place, only surpassed by the United States, the host team and current world champion.
