It has been ten years since Athletic Club won 4-3 over Racing Club, a match with an epic finale played in Bilbao under heavy rain
On 29 March 2010, Athletic Club and Racing Club delighted us with a match that plenty of Athletic’s supporters most likely still remember.
That Monday evening, under a torrential downpour, Bilbao witnessed a fine deluge of goals -four of them in the last ten minutes- and the red-and-white victory that secured a European position for Athletic, who were then under the management of Joaquín Caparrós. Rain, excitement and lots of goals. More than enough ingredients for a great match at La Catedral.
