Victory on the whistle

As we saw, on April 3 of last year, Athletic Club prevailed 3-2 over Levante UD (matchweek 30 in LaLiga) thanks to the goal scored by Iker Muniain in the very last minute of the game (92′). A victory on the whistle that kept the lions alive in their fight for a European position in the final stretch of the season.

We want to take advantage of this particular anniversary too look back and rescue those fixtures in which Athletic Club used that modus operandi to clinch the three points once the 90 minutes were over. It happened up to fourteen times in the previous 20 LaLiga campaigns (1999-2019) and you can see all of them in the following video.
