On our YouTube channel today, we go back to San Mamés to relive the 15th league match of the 2018-19 LaLiga season contested by Athletic Club and Girona FC.

Athletic -with Gaizka Garitano managing the side for the first time at LaLiga Santander- were struggling in the standings and had the urge to get the three points to alleviate their situation. The Red and Whites created plenty of scoring chances throughout the match, wrecked mostly by the visitor’s goalkeeper, also an old acquaintance, Gorka Iraizoz. The lions had to keep the pressure until stoppage time, and it was only then that Aduriz managed to score from the penalty spot, picking up the three points and clinching the second league win of the season.
