San Mamés will exhibit the Euro Champions

The Athletic Club Museum will have a new temporary exhibition in the coming weeks

The AC Museum will exhibit the ‘Euro Champions’, a collection with unique pieces that will be on display for the first time. The 250 square-metre space will contain over 50 original pieces, featuring the shirts of some of the most representative footballers from the teams who won the Euro Championship between 1960 and 2016: Yashin (1960), Iribar (1964), Zoff (1968), Netzer (1972), Panenka (1976), Rummenigge (1980), Bellone (1984), Van Basten (1988), Larsen (1992), Eilts (1996), Zidane (2000), Charisteas (2004), Casillas (2008), Iniesta (2012) and Ronaldo (2016).

Beginning with the Museum’s own collection, José Ángel Iribar’s to be more precise, the number of display items has been increasing thanks to generous donations made by other football museums, coming from federations, clubs, individuals, or even from some of the most important private collections in the world.
