“We have to keep being strong at San Mamés”

Gaizka Garitano has appeared in the press room of Lezama in the preview of the match of Athletic Club against Real Betis tomorrow, Saturday 20 June, at San Mamés (5.00 pm). A very important match for the red-and-white team, as it needs a win in order to take a place in the European ranks: “Winning this match would mean continuing to advance to those higher ranks. All the matches are finals now and we have to make good use of the two points obtained so far by adding three tomorrow.”

To achieve this, Athletic will have to continue with the dynamic of this season at San Mamés and, as the red-and-white coach has indicated, not be confident about the situation of Real Betis: “We cannot rely on that. At home we are very strong, and we have to continue being a team that dominates and makes its rivals suffer. We have to keep it that way.”
