Athletic Club’s 2020/21 away kit is out now

From today onwards, Athletic Club’s 2020/21 away kit will be available for purchase.

The path Athletic Club players take from the Lezama academy to the first team is the inspiration behind this kit. The grey jersey has red stripes which travel from the hem up to the collar, representing the journey our youngsters take to get to the first team squad.

The goalkeeper kit comes in green with an abstract graphic on the sleeves.

New Balance Football have launched their ‘Born of the People’ campaign especially for Athletic Club and the 2020/21 kits celebrate the Club’s unique identity.

First team striker and Lezama graduate Iñaki Williams said of the new strip: “I’m really looking forward to wearing the shirt next season. It’s an honour to play for this team, so it’s great to have a bespoke jersey that recognises our journey from Lezama to playing at San Mamés”.

Ahead of the kit’s launch, General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum, explained how Athletic Club’s youth policy influenced the design.

“Athletic Club’s commitment to preparing local talent is one of the great football stories. We drew inspiration from that rise to the top for this unique design and are excited to see the team compete while wearing it”.

Technical Details

This elite strip has been developed with innovative Aerojaq technology, a fabric which will ensure the players are kept dry and fresh throughout the entire match. It also contains a jacquard ventilation system made to help achieve the highest possible levels of comfort.

Finishing off the look, the matching shorts come in an athletic fit designed to increase stability, whilst the shaping to the hem will also help to expand stretch and aid rotational and lateral movement.

The accompanying socks have been fitted with cushioning areas, as well as a vertical band and zonal polypropylene to help release moisture away from the foot. Ventilation comes via mesh jacquard structures.
