Aitor Seguín loaned to Barakaldo

Athletic Club and Barakaldo Club have come to an agreement so that left-winger Aitor Seguín will play under Aitor Larrazabal for the 2020/21 season.

Seguín, 25, who arrived at Lezama as a child, already spent the final stretch of the 2019/20 season with Barakaldo. It was a bid to recover from a string of injuries, and the left-winger played seven games and got four assists. In the 2020-21 season, he will also be playing with a former Athletic Club teammate, goalkeeper Hodei Oleaga, who recently signed with the side.

Former coach Marcelo Bielsa once called Seguín up to a first team matchday squad for a Europa League game in Helsinki. Seguín also played 28 fixtures and scored three times for Bilbao Athletic in the Segunda División under Cuco Ziganda.
