Athletic Club kick off LaLiga 2020-21 in Granada and finish it in Elche

Barcelona’s visit to San Mamés postponed until January and Real Madrid will be the last team to come to Bilbao

Athletic Club’s 2020-21 LaLiga fixture list has been released and the lions get the ball rolling with an away trip to Granada at the Nuevo Los Cármenes on September 13, the same place where Athletic finished the 2019-20 campaign.

The first team to come to San Mamés should be FC Barcelona on matchday two, but at the moment the fixture has been postponed until January 6, 2021.

As it stands, Athletic will take on Eibar in Ipurua on matchday three and the first visitors to Bilbao and San Mamés will be Cádiz on September 30.

The derby days against Real Sociedad are scheduled to take place on December 30 in San Mamés and April 14 in the Anoeta Reale Arena.

Athletic Club go to the Santiago Bernabeu to face Real Madrid on December 15 or 16, with the matchday being brought forward for both clubs -as well as Barcelona and Real Sociedad- due to the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

At the end of January, the lions travel to the Camp Nou and Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid side will face the lions in San Mamés on matchday 37.

Gaizka Garitano’s side will see out LaLiga Santander 2020-21 with an away-day against the recently promoted Elche CF in the Martínez Velero.
