Athletic Club Women in Euskal Herria Copa semi-final against SD Eibar
On Wednesday at 18:30 (CET) Athletic take on Eibar for a place in Sunday’s final, where they will face CA Osasuna or Real Sociedad.
On Wednesday, September 23, Athletic Club Women will face SD Eibar in the semi-final of the Euskal Herria Copa. The friendly fixture will take place behind-closed-doors in Lezama, kicking off at 18:30 (CET).
Both sides will be looking for a place in the final on Sunday 27, which will be held in Urritxe (Amorebieta). If Ángel Villacampa’s lionesses do not reach the final, they will go into the third-place play-off. In the other semi-final, 2019 winners Real Sociedad face CA Osasuna in Zubieta.
Wednesday’s fixture will be the first time Athletic have faced a top division side so far this pre-season. SD Eibar won promotion to the Primera Iberdrola in 2019-20.
After seven months without a league match, and an extremely long pre-season, Athletic Club Women go into their final week of preparations with the incentive of playing two matches before Primera Iberdrola kicks off on October 3.
