San Mamés, blue for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Under the slogan “If I can choose, I will move the world”, and as with every December 3, different events have taken place related to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It’s a day that demands going beyond certain stereotypes about disability and the symbols that traditionally represent this group (wheelchairs, crutches, aids, dependence, etc).

Athletic Club has teamed up with Fekoor, Biscay’s co-ordinating federation for people with physical or organic disabilities, in an effort to use this day as a means to raise awareness about the need for collective support towards those with disabilities so that they can live their lives with the same level of autonomy, independence and equality of opportunities as any other person.
