Athletic draw Levante UD in Copa 20-21 semi-finals
Athletic will take on Levante at San Mamés next week before heading to the Ciutat de Valencia in March
Athletic Club will face Levante UD in Copa del Rey 2020-21 semi-finals. The first leg will take place next week in Bilbao, while the second leg is scheduled for the first week of March at Levante’s stadium, the Ciutat de Valencia.
Levante knocked out Racing Murcia (0-5) and Club Portugalete (1-2) in the early stages of the competition, before beating Fuenlabrada on penalties in the Round of 32. In the next round, the Valencia-based outfit defeated Real Valladolid (2-4). And in the quarter-finals, they overcame Villarreal (0-1), with striker Roger Marti scoring a goal in the very last minute of extra-time.
Managed by Paco López, Levante are currently ninth-placed in LaLiga Santander, two points ahead of Athletic in 11th.
