New Athletic Club Women Twitter account

New Athletic Club Women Twitter account

Athletic Club has established a new Twitter account dedicated to Athletic Club Women, in a commitment to improving coverage surrounding the team

On the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, Athletic Club has launched the new official Athletic Club Women Twitter account. At @AthleticClubFem, fans will find all the latest news from the women’s teams, with a special focus on the first team, including: detailed coverage of matches, news, match reports and more.

In addition, there will be updates on Athletic Club B and the other youth sides.

Having a separate and dedicated Twitter account will let us provide a more extensive and personalised service to our women’s teams. The new channel will complement our women’s teams’ popular Instagram page (@athleticclubfem), the account with the fifth highest amount of interactions among the 18 sides in the Primera Iberdrola*.

Live audio commentary from Primera Iberdrola matches

In conjunction with the launch of this new Twitter account, Athletic Club is also introducing a new feature offering live audio coverage of the Lionesses’ matches for the remainder of the season.

As broadcasting live footage of our first team’s matches is currently impossible due to a conflict over television rights, Athletic Club’s official Youtube account will offer live audio commentary from the stadiums where the Lionesses play their matches.

You will be able to follow the transmission via the Club’s official website and app, as well as the new Twitter account. The initiative began on Sunday with the live broadcast from the Ciudad Deportiva de Vallecas, where Athletic took on Rayo Vallecano in their Primera Iberdrola Matchday 21 fixture.
