Joseba Etxeberria steps down as Bilbao Athletic manager
The coach announced his decision to leave the reserve team, after two seasons in charge
Bilbao Athletic manager Joseba Etxeberria has informed the Club of his decision to leave the reserve side.
The former player and club legend spent two years at the helm of Bilbao Athletic, enjoying much success over the period.
In both seasons, the Cubs qualified for the play-offs to LaLiga Smartbank, where they were knocked out by CD Badajoz on penalties in 2020 and then by Burgos CF, after an extra-time goal, in 2021.
Most importantly, Joseba has played a pivotal role in the development of several players who are now established members of the first-team squad.
