Athletic Club Fundazioa’s Genuine team will kick off the first phase of the recently started fourth season of LaLiga Genuine this weekend, playing at the Escuela de Fútbol de Mareo, Gijón.
The squad departed from Lezama to Asturias on Friday morning and they are full of enthusiasm and excitement about being able to enjoy football with the rest of the teams agains. Specifically, of the 42 clubs participating in this new season, Athletic Genuine have been placed in the ‘Respect’ Group, together with Real Sporting de Gijón, CA Osasuna, Deportivo Alavés, SD Ponferradina, Real Valladolid, Real Zaragoza, CD Lugo, Burgos CF and UD Ibiza.
The LaLiga Genuine fixture list is divided into three phases, which are held in five different venues. The final phase of LaLiga Genuine 2022, the only one that brings together all the participating teams in a single venue, will be played at Lezama with Athletic Club as the host team.
Opener against CD Lugo
In this first phase of the competition, Athletic Genuine will start in style, taking on CD Lugo on Saturday morning at 10:00. In the evening, at 16:00, they will face Real Valladolid, before concluding their involvement with a derby against CA Osasuna on Sunday morning at 10:00.
On Friday, Athletic Club Fundazioa will take part in an institutional reception at 20:00 at the venue’s hotel, where all participants will gather in an atmosphere of celebration and jubilation while seeing their friends from the rest of the LaLiga Genuine clubs.
