Our Genuine team are back in LaLiga action
Athletic Club Fundazioa take part in this weekend’s second phase of the season, taking place in Cádiz
This weekend, our Genuine team, Athletic Club Fundazioa, will be in Cádiz to take part in the Second Phase of LaLiga Genuine’s fourth season. The squad flew from Bilbao to Cádiz on Friday morning, and were full of the desire to enjoy a great weekend of football.
The sportsmanship that reign supreme in this competition turns each day into a real party, both for the teams and for their fans.
Athletic Genuine are part of the “Respect Group”, one of the three groups into which the 42 participating LaLiga clubs are divided. The other teams in our group include: Real Sporting Gijón, CA Osasuna, Deportivo Alavés, SD Ponferradina, Real Valladolid, Real Zaragoza, CD Lugo, Burgos CF and UD Ibiza.
In the First Phase, Athletic Genuine faced CD Lugo, Real Valladolid and CA Osasuna, getting the highest possible score for Fair Play. In this second phase, Athletic’s rivals will be Deportivo Alavés (Saturday at 10:30), UD Ibiza, (Saturday at 18:00) and Real Zaragoza (Sunday at 11:00).
The LaLiga Genuine calendar is divided into three phases held at five different venues. The final phase of LaLiga Genuine 2022, the only one that brings together all the participating teams at a single venue, will take place Lezama on June 4 and 5 with Athletic Club as the host team.
