Athletic Club to face Newcastle United in pre-season friendly
The Lions will take on the Magpies in Newcastle on July 30, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed
Athletic have their first confirmed friendly of the 2022/23 pre-season and will play Newcastle United FC at St. James’ Park on 30 July, at a time to be confirmed.
This will not be the first time the two sides have met in the summer. In addition to the legendary 1994/95 UEFA Cup match from which the Lions emerged victorious, Athletic visited St James’ Park for a pre-season friendly in August 2001.
