Iñigo Martínez to leave Athletic Club

Iñigo Martinez will leave Athletic Club once his contract expires on June 30. The defender has decided to look for different professional opportunities after six seasons and 177 games as a Lion.

Despite several attempts at negotiation in the last two seasons, Iñigo Martínez remained steadfast in turning down the Club's offers to extend his contract. The centre-back, who arrived from Real Sociedad in January 2018, leaves Athletic with a Spanish Super Cup in his trophy cabinet.
