Amaia Peña renews contract until 2025

Athletic Club and Amaia Peña (24) have reached an agreement to extend the goalkeeper's contract, which was due to expire this month, for two seasons. The player from Portugalete has played nine games in the first team, three of them in the last season.

Amaia Peña grew up at Pauldarrak and was recruited by Athletic Club in 2014 to play at youth level. She lined up in the reserve team and in 2015, she was proclaimed European champion with the Spanish U-17 national team.

Subsequently, she spent four seasons playing college football for the Pitt Panthers in Pittsburgh (USA) while studying for her degree. She returned to Lezama in 2020 and the following season she went on loan to SD Eibar, with whom she also played in the first division.
