Deportivo Alavés striker Sanadri joins Athletic Women

Scorer of five goals last season, the player from San Sebastian strengthens David Aznar's attacking front line

Marta San Adrián 'Sanadri' (23 years old) will strengthen Athletic Club's attacking front until 2026. The player from San Sebastian arrives free of contract at Lezama from Deportivo Alavés, with whom she scored five goals and gave three assists last season, her second in the top division. She has also been called up to the Spanish U-23 national team.

Sanadri took her first steps in Añorga KE, until she signed for Deportivo Alavés in the 2018/19 season. She promoted twice with the Gasteiztarras to Liga Reto and Primera Iberdrola, where she made her debut the following year, achieving the permanence in a comfortable way and scoring three goals. However, in this last season she has not been able to avoid relegation despite her remarkable contribution.

After signing her contract with the president, Jon Uriarte, in the presence of the Women's sporting director, Xabi Arrieta, she has declared that "it's a very nice and very attractive project, that's why I'm here.

"Athletic has always been a great club, it's doing things very well to continue growing in the future."
