Athletic Club Women sign goalkeeper Nanclares

Athletic Club have signed Real Sociedad goalkeeper Adriana Nanclares on a deal that runs until 30 June 2027. The 21-year-old shotstopper has made 40 appearance in the top division and has won a Copa.

World Under-20 champion alongside her new teammates Clara Pinedo, Maite Zubieta and Ane Elexpuru, Nanclares is a goalkeeper with a great present and future, with four seasons' experience competing with Mariasun Quiñones and Elene Lete in the elite.

She took her first steps at Aurrera de Vitoria and Oiartzun, before Real Sociedad brought her to Zubieta.

"It's a very exciting project and I'm very happy and looking forward to it," said the keeper about signing for Athletic.

"I think there is a lot of support for women's football. There are loads of young women coming up through the ranks and doing well. I'm here to give my all and sacrifice so we achieve something big."
