Athletic Club head coach Ernesto Valverde admitted he was delighted with Los Leones' performance in their 3-0 win over Cádiz CF at San Mames on Saturday night.
However, at the same time, the gaffer reminded everyone that it istill early days and his players must keep their eye on the ball.
“We keep picking up wins and that's so important for us," Valverde said post-match. "We're happy but there's a long way to go and we have to keep working hard."
"We know that to score goals we have to be creative and today we were. It was a great victory. To get three goals deserves a lot of credit."
All three of Los Rojiblancos' goals came from players in the forward line, while Unai Simón kept another clean sheet. Valverde wants his players to carry this form into Friday's fixture in Vitoria-Gasteiz against Deportivo Alaves.
He added: "It's important for strikers to score goals because it boosts their confidence and that's good for all of us. At the back we were solid and we kept a clean sheet, which was important."
