The match has been suspended due to the death of a Nazarí fan during the course of the fixture
The LaLiga match between Granada CF and Athletic Club was suspended in the 17th minute of play due to the death of a Granada fan at Los Cármenes. The Nazarí supporter went into cardiac arrest and unfortunately the medical services were unable resuscitate him.
Both clubs, together with LaLiga and the match referee, agreed to stop the match, which Athletic were leading 0-1 after an Iñaki Williams goal in the 6th minute.
Athletic Club is deeply saddened by the tragedy and would like to express its deepest condolences to the late fan's family and loved ones.
Club president Jon Uriarte spoke to the media after the fixture was abandoned.
He said: "We're deeply saddened by the passing of a fan at today's match and we send our sincerest condolences to the entire Granada family.
