Adu Ares signs new deal through to 2027
The winger has extended his contract with the club for a further three seasons
Athletic Club forward Adu Ares has put pen to paper on a new contract with the club which will keep him in Bilbao until June 30, 2027.
The 22-year-old has made 13 appearances as a Lion since making his debut against RCD Mallorca last season, both his senior goals came in our recent Copa victory against UE Rubí.
Adu Ares joined CD Basconia from Santutxu FC in 2021/22 and immediately showed his potential. In the second half of that same campaign he was promoted to Bilbao Athletic, where he scored six of his ten goals for our B team.
In line with the Board of Directors' policy, Adu Ares' contract has a fixed salary structure with a variable component based on objectives. Club president Jon Uriarte and director of football Mikel González were there as the winger signed his new deal at San Mames on Thursday morning.
Adu will hold a press conference at 12:45 CET on Thursday morning to talk about his new contract.
