On Monday morning, Iñaki Williams will travel to join up with the Blackstars as they begin preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on 13 January.
Ghana's AFCON campaign kicks off a day later with their group stage match against Cape Verde.
Despite Athletic Club and the player making efforts for him to be available for the Lions' LaLiga clash with Sevilla on January 4, the Ghanaian football association has decided to call up Iñaki at the same time as the rest of his international teammates.
