Athletic Club for All: "Total Football, Total Access"

San Mames turned blue as Athletic Club joined CAFE's campaign to raise awareness around reduced mobility in football

Athletic Club has once again joined CAFE's (Centre for Access to Football in Europe) week to raise awareness about reduced mobility, which is in its 12th edition being held from March 8-24.

CAFE is a UEFA-backed organisation that aims to improve accessibility to football grounds for people with reduced mobility. On Saturday night, the San Mamés stadium turned blue for this international organisation in an initiative that included the participation of "Denon Athletic".

Twenty members of the Athletic supporters' group, which is made up of people with reduced mobility, have made the campaign's slogan their own: "Total Football, Total Access".

Since 2013, CAFE's Action Week has been advocating for better access, inclusion and participation in sport for people with disabilities.

For Athletic Club it is an opportunity to reassert its commitment to making sport more inclusive so that people with disabilities can take their rightful place among peers in football.
