Irene Oguiza signs new deal until 2026

Athletic Club and Irene Oguiza, 24, have reached an agreement to extend her contract for two more seasons, until 30 June 2026.

One of the leaders in David Aznar's side, Irene has already made 77 appearances for Athletic Club Women, scoring 10 goals - one of which came this season.

The agreement, signed today at San Mamés in the presence of club president Jon Uriarte and director of women's football Xabi Arrieta, was announced at the stadium's sports bar, 'Geuria!'.

Oguiza, set to compete in her sixth season, is a key player in the Lionesses' midfield. Her involvement in 2023/24 was limited due to an injury she picked up the previous year, but she made her comeback in the second half of the campaign, helping Las Rojiblancas shoot up the Liga F table and reach the Copa semi-finals.
