From the 35 potential adversaries, the only side Los Leones can't play in the league phase is Real Sociedad
After Thursday night's play-offs, we now know the 36 teams that will take part in Europa League 2024/25, the final of which will be held at San Mames in May 2025.
On Friday afternoon, Athletic Club, returning to European competition after a six-season absence, will discover their eight league-phase rivals - four of which will visit San Mames.
Of all the teams qualified, the only side we cannot face in the league phase is Real Sociedad.
Athletic will take on two teams from each pot, which are ordered by coefficent ratings. On Friday, we'll find out our opponents, and whether the matches will be played at San Mames or away. However, the kick-off times won't be published until Saturday evening.
