BertsoDerbia to take place on November 22

The Athletic Club Foundation has organised, together with the Real Sociedad Foundation, a new edition of the traditional BertsoDerbia. On this occasion, the bertsolaritza football event will be held in Mungia on  November 22 at 11.15 CET at the Olalde Aretoa.

The event will be attended by Aissa Intxausti and Mikel Goiriena on behalf of the Athleticzales and Ane Zuazubiskar and Aitor Tatiegi on behalf of the Realzales. Andoni Egaña will be the “gaijartzaile” (the moderator).

There will be no tickets on sale as this year's BertsoDerbia is aimed at all first year secondary school students from the following schools in Mungia: IES Mungia BHI, Ikastola Larramendi and Bentades Ikastetxea.

There will also be a mini-competition between students and two winners will be able to attend the Basque Derby in San Mamés with their mother, father and/or tutor.

The Athletic Club Foundation, through events such as BertsoDerbia, seeks to promote Basque culture, bertsolaritza and the use of the Basque language. Collaborating so closely with the Real Sociedad Foundation allows us to promote healthy rivalry in a match as important as a derby, unifying respect, sport and culture.
