Athletic Club sets objectives and promotes identity at annual meeting

The first team squads, club staff and the Board of Directors analyse the year in meeting at San Mamés, and Jorge Valdano, Sid Lowe and Andy Stalman share their impressions

For yet another year, Athletic Club has brought together the first team squads, all the Ibaigane, Lezama and San Mamés staff, and the Board of Directors to analyse the club's progress and share the objectives for 2025.

The message that the club has embraced in this annual meeting and in turn conveyed to the entire fan base is one of ambition and determination: we want more, there is still much more to do and we will spare no effort in the attempt to improve.

In addition, the club has organised a roundtable discussion with Jorge Valdano, Sid Lowe and Andy Stalman, respective authorities in football, journalism and marketing, who will share their impressions about Athletic.

Moderated by Basque television presenter Oizeder Mayo, this roundtable forms an important part of an event that focuses on the club's overall strategy and the main challenges needing to be faced in order to achieve objectives.

The event programme is as such:

  • 23/24 financial report and 24/25 budget, presented by Athletic's president, Jon Uriarte, and managing director, Jon Bersategi.

  • Presentation of next year's objectives, given by those responsible for the four pillars of the AC Aurrera Action Plan:

    • High standards, leadership and sporting success.
    • Economic growth and sustainability with a focus on income.
    • Social impact and responsible governance.
    • Organisation, culture and top-performance management.

  • Roundtable with Jorge Valdano, Sid Lowe and Andy Stalman under the title ‘Overview and impact of Athletic Club's brand on the international scene’.

  • Fun team activity.

  • Cocktail reception and live music.

Soon, Athletic Club will share the progress of the AC Aurrera Action Plan and the degree of fulfilment of each of its strategic pillars with its community, just as it did in February and July 2023, and January and July 2024.
